Welcome to the 20th edition of our 12+24 Hour Race in Basel
Over the last 20 years we had a lot of great experiences and have seen many highlights, like in 1990, after the opening of the "Iron Curtain", when 30 Russians participated for the first time in the West - after a 7-days-busride; or 1993 and 1997 when both IAU-European Championships took place and almost 40 runners ran over 200km. Also: both worldrecords were achieved in Basel and have not been broken since: Yiannis Kouros with 290.225km andSigrid Lomsky with 243.659km.
This year we expect about 140 runners from over 20 countries.
